Boom eSports to TTU e-Sport 2018 Winter

Posted on February 7, 2018

It’s no news to Estonian eSports fans that TTÜ e-Sport is coming this weekend and that BoomCast will be casting the whole show. But to all of our fans we promise that our Casters is not the only show that you would want to see.
Our CS:GO squad is taking on yet another great local event and will try to make the best out of it! As we are playing with one substitute player in the event, as Inno has been substituted for Naiter during his recovery period, things will be a lot different for us – teamwise.

Many local star-players have formed a mix team and are playing in the tournament as well, players such as Kevin “HS” Tarn and Kristjan “Fejtz” Allsaar.

Now for the part all of you have been waiting for – hopefully! A short interview with Rainer “2rare2die” Selge:

You won the last LAN that you guys attended, how much will TTU e-Sport differ from Paide?

TTÜ will be a lot tougher, there are better teams and mix teams than in Paide, plus there will also be the more known names of Estonian CS except for ropz (HS, Fejtz). So the competition is a lot tougher. There could be 5-6 different winners.

Inno is out of the roster for TTU e-Sport because of hand surgery, who will replace him and how has the practice with him been?

Inno’s hand surgery is a major blow of us, he was a very good player in the team, and one who could clutch consistently. We found a stand in whose name is Naiter, he won MängudeÖÖ with a mix so the firepower is definitely there. Practices have been good, but since he is used to playing as a mix, there was a lot of talking, discussing and ideas that have been coming from everyone in the team. But I’m sure we will perform as well as possible.

Winning is everything, but what are your hopes for the upcoming tournament (placement wise)?

Our placement… Top5 would be awesome since its one of the biggest tournaments in Estonia. But everything can happen.
