Changes are inevitable and so with that in mind all of us here at Boom eSports are asking for you to give a very big and warm welcome to our new CEO Karl Juhan “KJK” Küling, who will be taking over the leadership position from Kristjan “Koffer” Hiis. To all our fans this change doesn’t mean that Koffer will be departing from Boom, he will still stay within the organisation, but in a bit different position – managing the sales and marketing team.
You might wonder why this change has occured and the simple answer to that is – time, bringing in new thoughts and visions and last but not least – to carry on the legacy of Boom!
To pinpoint everything out in a longer way here’s what our former CEO Kristjan “Koffer” Hiis had to say about it:
“It has been an honour to lead the most successful eSports team in Estonia for almost three years now, and those three years have taught me a lot. Now it is time for me to give on the baton to the next person and I’m glad that this person is Karl, whom I deeply trust and have full confidence in him that he’ll lead Boom in better ways that I was able to!
In addition I’d like to say that I’m not leaving the org behind but rather moving onto greener pastures and will help Boom out by making more convenient partnerships happen and try to drive the growth side of Boom.”
As the baton leaves Koffer’s hands, here’s what Karl Juhan “KJK” Küling has to say:
“I am honoured to be the next leader of Boom eSports and I hope to be a good CEO.
My first connection with Boom was a few years ago when I was organising LAN parties in Estonia. Since then Boom eSports has become very special to me. I am very lucky to call Kristjan my friend and to have him as my mentor. With him by my side I feel that we can do anything.
Now let’s talk about about the future. Like Koffer said changes are inevitable. Most of them are going to be on the management side, but there will also be some things for the fans. Over the next year you can expect better results, more teams, more content, more eSports and more BOOM.”
